As a Sister|
For 800 years, Dominican men and women all over the world have continued the vision of St. Dominic to preach the good news. The Dominican Sisters of Houston have carried on this heritage for 125 years in Texas and beyond. Dominican life revolves around the word of God received in PRAYER and STUDY, and the word of God proclaimed in COMMUNITY and PREACHING.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS
Gracious and loving God, Your Word finds a home in our hearts and calls us as Dominican Sisters to "assume the risks inherent in preaching the Gospel" by word and deed. Bless us with the Spirit of grace and wisdom as we invite other women to enter into community with us. We pray that many will choose to respond to your call to join us in our ministry with the oppressed and powerless. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
