- Materials relate to the founding of the Dominican Sisters of Houston and its early history. The Congregation was originally founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 1874. Records include foundational and corporate documents, unpublished histories, early customs and ceremonials, cemetery records, and annal and vow books. Restrictions may apply.

- Materials relate to the governing on the Dominican Sisters of Houston. This includes records related to Chapters, various assemblies, taskforces and committees, Council, official reports and legal documents. Restrictions may apply.
- Membership
- Materials related to all sisters who are, or have been, members of the Dominican Sisters of Houston. Records are kept on each sister, whether deceased, active, or withdrawn. Creative works such as poems, books, speeches, etc., by sisters are also included. Sisters’ dissertations and directories may also be found here. Restrictions may apply.

- Departmental records include records specific to each department within the Dominican Sisters of Houston’s administrative offices including the financial, development and advancement, wellness and community life, and human resources offices. Restrictions may apply.

- These records consist of report and correspondence between the Dominican Sisters of Houston and other Catholic religious groups including various members of the clergy, other Dominican congregations, the Vatican, Dioceses, LCWR (Leadership Conference of Women Religious), and CMSW (Conference of Major Superiors of Women).
