Dominican Sisters of Houston
To Praise To Bless To Preach

Sr. Nicholas Fahey, O.P. June 25, 1914 + August 24, 2013

May she rest in peace.

Sr. Nicholas was born in Ballindooley, Galway, Ireland.  She immigrated to Houston to join the Dominican Sisters in 1930, giving 83 years of faithful service.  Sister ministered for 47 years as principal and/or teacher in Houston, Port Neches, Orange, Beaumont, Nacogdoches, Galveston, Lufkin and in California.

Subsequent to her school ministry, sister gave spiritual care to residents of St. Dominic Nursing Home, serving as sacristan at St. Dominic Villa, volunteering at S.E.A.R.C.H., and serving as receptionist for the Dominican Sisters Administration office and St. Dominic Villa.

Always the gracious woman, Sister Nicholas will be remembered for her readiness to help, often quietly behind the scenes.
