The Dominican Sisters of Houston sponsor two high schools located in Houston, St. Agnes Academy and St. Pius X High School. Both schools have been recognized for their academic excellence owing to their outstanding college preparatory programs, faculty, and staff.

Founded in 1905, St. Agnes Academy celebrates over 110 years of ministry, and its mission, rooted in the Dominican tradition, is to provide a Catholic college preparatory education that encourages young women to develop intellectual curiosity, to work for social justice, and to act with integrity and compassion.  To learn more, please visit st-agnes.org.

Fifty years later in 1956, the sisters founded St. Pius X High School, a college preparatory school whose mission is to provide a Catholic education centered around the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community, and preaching. Inspired by Veritas, young men and women embrace academic excellence and integrity, celebrate the community’s diverse gifts and heritage, and embody social justice and service.
