ST. DOMINIC VILLA

St. Dominic Villa, our retirement home, is located on our motherhouse grounds near our community garden and beautiful outdoor labyrinth used for walking in meditative prayer. Built in 1967, the Villa provides both assisted and independent living for our sisters and is also home to our visiting Vietnamese sisters who come to the United States to learn English and further their education.  Our sisters at the Villa are deeply engaged in daily prayer ministry and in tutoring our resident Vietnamese sisters.

The sculptured-glass window in our chapel (pictured) depicts followers of St. Dominic, both men and women, through the centuries. Those with facial features represent followers canonized by the Church while the remainder represent all Dominicans, religious and laity, preachers of Truth, who have lived the Dominican mission and charism.

We are very grateful for our volunteers and sisters who offer help with specialized services, projects, gardening, the reception desk, and much more.

Visitors are welcome by appointment only.

Mass is currently not open to the public.

Villa staff include the Administrator, Paula Porter; Healthcare Coordinator, Candance Swanigan, MSN, RN, MEDSURG-BC; Food Service Manager, Ruby Wilson; and Liturgy Coordinator, Joyce Lubofsky.
